ABOUT FIT

FIT : Fashion Institute of Technology is the fashion SUNY collage located in New York, and it listed as the one of top fashion collages in the world. FIT has both Design and Fashion Business majors for various Associate and Bachelor's degree programs. I'd love to introduce this amazing collage for those who interested in studying fashion design or fashion business like me. I got the associate degree in Fashion Merchandising Management (Fashion Business Management) and I also got a bachelor's degree in Advertising Marketing Communications. Michael Kors or Calvin Klein are some of famous FIT alumni.

FIT : Fashion Institute of Technology ファッション工科大学はニューヨークにある州立のファッション大学で、世界のトップファッション大学の１つとされています。特徴としては準学士号・学士号プログラム共にファッションデザインだけでなく、ファッションビジネスも学ぶことができ、幅広いメジャーがあることです。ファッションデザインやビジネスをニューヨークで学ぶことに興味がある方に、この大学をぜひ紹介したいと思います。私はファッションビジネス分野では最も有名なメジャーである”Fashion Merchandising Management (Fashion Business Management)"の準学士号をとり、その後メジャーを変更し"Advertising Marketing Communications"の学士号を取得しました。有名な卒業生としてはマイケルコースやカルバンクラインがいます。

The collage is located in middle of Manhattan and has a great access. The campus is not huge like other typical collages but they're opening up the new location in Brooklyn soon. The collage offers high quality classes for every courses, and also encourages students to do a few internships before graduate.

キャンパスがマンハッタンの中心にあり、地下鉄の駅が学校の目の前にあります。ドラマに出るアメリカの典型的な大学ではなく、かなりコンパクトなキャンパスです。現在はブルックリンに新しいキャンパスを作っているため、いずれ２つのロケーションに分けられるそうです。どのメジャーにおいても授業の質は高く、インターンシップを経験することに力を入れています。

Parsons, the New School for Design is the other one of the top fashion collage in New York. They have a lot of great Alumni who became famous designers like Marc Jacobs or Alexander Wang. The collage focus on growing students' creativity and artistic senses. Since it's a private fashion collage, the tuition is higher than FIT.

ニューヨークにあるもう１つの有名なファッション大学にParsons : パーソンズがあります。多くの世界的デザイナーを送り出し、よく知られている卒業生にはマークジェイコブズやアレキサンダーワンなどがいます。パーソンズは生徒の創造性や個性を磨き、アーティステックなセンスを大事にしています。私立大学のため、学費は州立大学のFITよりも高くなります。
